The Year 2 Teacher will design carefully scaffolded maths lessons and craft memorable foundation topics that build knowledge. As the Year 2 Teacher you will be expected to plan before January 2026, to attend induction in January 2026, and to start teaching from January 2026. Year 2 Teacher — responsibilities & impact • Deliver phonics, early reading and daily writing sessions as the Year 2 Teacher. • Use observation and assessment to personalise learning as the Year 2 Teacher. • Lead parental engagement events and support transition into Key Stage 2 as the Year 2 Teacher. The Year 2 Teacher will be supported by experienced phase leaders and will access tailored CPD after January 2026.
