Job description
Assistant Finance Officer required January 2026 Good mixed school based in Liverpool Assistant Finance Officer to support financial administration and reporting Our Client is looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to join a well-organised school in Liverpool. Responsibilities include processing invoices, updating financial systems, supporting reporting cycles, checking expenditure codes, and providing administrative support across the finance office. School Information This large 11–18 comprehensive has over 1,400 students and is known for its strong sense of community, extensive extracurricular programme, and growing enrolment. As the school continues to expand, the finance department has a crucial role in ensuring accurate budgeting, funding allocation, and efficient resource management. The school has recently invested in new digital platforms and building improvements, making financial oversight more important than ever. Staff describe the workplace as friendly, supportive, and fast-moving. Colleagues across admin, HR, and finance work closely together, and SLT places emphasis on professional development for support staff. Training is provided for software systems and finance operations, making this an excellent role for someone wishing to build experience within the education finance sector.
