Job description
We are seeking an organised and proactive Office Manager to join a friendly and welcoming nursery school near Kensington . This full-time, temporary position is to provide sick cover, starting as soon as possible. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of a nurturing early years setting that values teamwork, efficiency, and care. Office Manager Role · Full-Time · Temporary – Sick Cover · ASAP Start The School This is a well-established and caring nursery school near Kensington with a strong reputation for providing high-quality early years education. The school has a warm, community-focused atmosphere where staff, children, and families work together to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. The leadership team promotes collaboration, professionalism, and a commitment to children’s wellbeing and development. Office Manager Responsibilities · Oversee the day-to-day running of the school office, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations. · Manage school communications, including emails, phone calls, and correspondence with parents and external agencies. · Maintain accurate records, databases, and registers in line with school and safeguarding policies. · Support with admissions, attendance tracking, and nursery funding paperwork. · Handle invoicing, payments, and petty cash as required. · Liaise with staff, parents, and the leadership team to ensure effective communication and organisation. · Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, and ordering supplies. Office Manager Requirements · Previous experience working in a school or nursery office environment (essential). · Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. · Proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, or similar). · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment and prioritise effectively. · A positive, professional attitude and a commitment to supporting the school community. · Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection procedures is desirable.
