Job descriptionPosition: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) Location: Chiswick, West London Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Term-time only Salary: £85–£105 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate and September Starts Available About the Role A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Chiswick, West London is seeking a nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about early childhood development and supporting children aged 3–5 years in a play-based, stimulating learning environment. The EYFS TA will help children develop academically, socially, and emotionally, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework . The school encourages creativity, curiosity, independence, and confidence in every child. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS lessons and activities Work with individual children and small groups to support learning Assist with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and creative play Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing Support children with personal care as required (toileting, meals, dressing) Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS expectations Prepare and maintain engaging learning areas and resources Support indoor and outdoor learning activities Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and parents The Ideal Candidate Warm, patient, and enthusiastic Passionate about early years education Knowledgeable about EYFS and play-based learning Confident supporting children with different abilities and needs Works well both independently and as part of a team Communicates effectively with children, staff, and parents Essential Requirements Experience working in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting Understanding of the EYFS framework Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Right to work in the UK Desirable (Not Essential) Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification Experience supporting SEN within EYFS Paediatric First Aid or Safeguarding training Why Chiswick?
