Job description
Borough: Haringey (Inner London) School Status: Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School Start Date: ASAP Start – Permanent, Full-Time Curriculum Scope: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only The Opportunity A vibrant Haringey school is seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its creative faculty. The department is a central pillar of the school's identity, featuring excellent rehearsal suites and a busy calendar of performances. This role is perfect for an ECT who wants to balance high-quality classroom teaching with a rich extra-curricular life. Core Responsibilities Teach Music across KS3 and KS4, covering theory, composition, and performance using both traditional and modern software tools. Coordinate ensemble groups and support students in preparing for practical assessments. Promote artistic communication through the school’s various concert and performance series. ECT Induction & Support Professional development sessions tailored to managing performance-based classrooms. Access to regional music networking groups and artistic communication workshops. Full technician support for equipment maintenance and recording sessions. Requirements & Compensation Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant Music degree. Salary: Inner London Teachers' Pay Scale. Benefits: Professional-grade recording equipment and dedicated rehearsal spaces.
