Job description
An Outstanding High School in Essex requires a permanent, full-time Teacher of Physical Education (Female specialist), starting January 2026. This key role promotes health, fitness, and competitive sport. About the School This Outstanding-rated school is highly regarded for its strong academics and exceptional sports programs and facilities. The dynamic PE department runs extensive competitive fixtures and emphasizes character development, wellbeing, teamwork, and leadership skills. Responsibilities You will deliver high-quality instruction across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE/BTEC), and 5 (A-Level/BTEC). Your core focus is driving high attainment and promoting lifelong physical activity, especially among female students. You must lead and coach several school teams and contribute to extra-curricular sports programmes. You will oversee the development of female students' sports participation and health education. Requirements You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have successfully completed your induction period. You must hold a Degree in Physical Education or a related field, with a strong record of teaching success across all key stages. You must have the right to work in the UK.
