Job description
A well-regarded 11–16 secondary school in Wakefield is seeking a motivated and reflective Early Career Teacher of Geography to join its established Humanities faculty. The school has a strong reputation locally for developing new teachers through practical mentoring, clear behaviour systems and a curriculum built around depth of knowledge and conceptual understanding. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT who wants a calm, well-led environment where expectations are high and support is genuine. The Role You will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a carefully sequenced curriculum that balances physical geography, human geography and environmental issues. Topics include tectonic processes, urban change, global development and climate systems, with a clear focus on disciplinary knowledge and exam preparation.
