Job description
A high performing and well-established secondary school in Bradford is seeking a talented and dedicated Art Teacher to join its successful department from April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a school recognised for strong academic outcomes, positive pupil behaviour, and a commitment to developing both creativity and critical thinking. Art is a valued subject within the curriculum, with strong uptake at GCSE and increasing participation at A Level. The department encourages ambitious creative practice alongside academic rigour, ensuring pupils develop both technical skill and contextual understanding. The Role Teaching Art across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience Delivering engaging and rigorous lessons across a range of media and techniques Supporting pupils with GCSE and A Level coursework and portfolio preparation Promoting high standards of presentation, creativity, and critical analysis Monitoring attainment and implementing strategies to raise achievement Contributing to exhibitions, displays, and enrichment opportunities Supporting departmental planning and quality assurance processes The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A degree in Fine Art or a related discipline Experience teaching Art at secondary level Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice A track record of securing strong pupil outcomes High expectations for behaviour, creativity, and achievement Excellent organisational and communication skills This Bradford secondary school benefits from structured systems, strong leadership, and a collaborative Art department committed to maintaining high standards and creative excellence.
