Job description
A creative and forward-thinking secondary school in Market Harborough is seeking an enthusiastic Drama ECT to join its Expressive Arts faculty from January 2026 . The Role You will teach Drama across KS3 and KS4 , delivering a curriculum that balances performance, theory and creative exploration. Students are enthusiastic and enjoy practical lessons, with Drama playing a visible role in school productions and enrichment activities. As an ECT, you’ll be supported to develop strong classroom routines for practical lessons and confidence in managing performance-based learning. ECT Support & Development The school provides: A reduced timetable and structured ECT programme Subject mentoring from an experienced Drama specialist Support with planning, assessment and exam preparation Opportunities to assist with productions and clubs at a manageable pace The School Rated Good , the school has a strong community ethos and values creativity alongside academic success. Staff wellbeing is prioritised, and new teachers are supported without being overwhelmed. An excellent first post for a Drama ECT looking to grow in confidence and skill within a supportive, creative department.
