Job description
Are you a flexible and creative PPA Teacher seeking a role where you can specialise in cover teaching and curriculum delivery from January 2026? Do you want to join a Birmingham school that values consistent teaching cover, thoughtful planning and strong pupil engagement? Wayman Education is recruiting a dedicated PPA Teacher for a lively primary school in Birmingham. The successful PPA Teacher will be deployed across classes to deliver PPA lessons faithfully to class plans, lead enrichment sessions and run targeted catch-up groups where required. The PPA Teacher will be expected to start January 2026 and will support the school’s monitoring and assessment processes from January 2026, ensuring seamless learning experiences for all pupils. Position Details PPA Teacher – Birmingham school Start Date – January 2026 Contract – Permanent / Term-time (flexible contracts considered) The Role The PPA Teacher will deliver planned lessons across the curriculum, maintain pupil progress records, and liaise with class teachers and phase leaders to ensure curriculum continuity. You will manage classes with professionalism, set high expectations and adapt resources to meet learners’ needs. This PPA Teacher post in Birmingham requires someone who is confident teaching across multiple year groups and who values collaborative planning. The School This Birmingham school offers strong pastoral support, well-resourced classrooms and a positive staff culture. The successful PPA Teacher will receive induction, access to professional development and ongoing mentoring. Person specification for the PPA Teacher: • QTS/PGCE and recent primary teaching experience appropriate for a PPA Teacher. • Strong behaviour management, planning and assessment skills as a PPA Teacher. • Able to start January 2026 in Birmingham.
