Job description
A well-regarded and high-performing 11–18 school in Oxford is seeking an inspiring and talented Music Teacher to join their Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role provides an outstanding opportunity to work in a creative, inclusive, and academically ambitious environment that places the arts at the heart of school life. The appointed teacher will teach Music across KS3–KS5, nurturing students’ appreciation for performance, composition, and music theory. You will lead ensembles, choirs, or orchestras and play a central role in the school’s extensive musical calendar, including concerts, productions, and community performances. The department encourages teachers to integrate classical, contemporary, and digital forms of music-making to ensure an inclusive and engaging curriculum. The Music Department is exceptionally well-resourced, featuring dedicated rehearsal rooms, soundproof practice studios, a recording suite, and a professional-standard performance auditorium. The school has a vibrant cultural presence, with students regularly participating in competitions and festivals at both regional and national levels.
