Job description
Data Manager – Outstanding Secondary School – Leicester Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School Information This Outstanding 11–18 secondary school in Leicester is recognised for its data-driven improvement strategy, excellent academic results, and strong leadership. The school serves a diverse urban population and consistently achieves high progress measures across all subjects. The leadership team relies heavily on accurate and timely data to inform curriculum planning, interventions, and whole-school strategy. The school benefits from modern IT systems, secure data infrastructure, and established reporting frameworks. To strengthen its data and assessment systems, the school is seeking a highly skilled Data Manager. Role Overview The Data Manager will oversee assessment data collection, reporting, and analysis across the school. Key responsibilities include: Managing the school MIS system Producing progress and attainment reports Coordinating assessment cycles Submitting statutory returns (School Census) Supporting exam data processing Monitoring attendance and behaviour data Training staff in data systems Ensuring GDPR compliance Supporting timetabling and curriculum data Providing strategic analysis to SLT The role requires analytical expertise and precision. Data & Assessment Team The Data Manager works closely with the Exams Officer and Deputy Head. Structured reporting cycles are in place.
