Job description
A vibrant, forward-thinking Good-rated secondary school in Cambridge is seeking a committed and highly motivated Art ECT to join their Creative Arts department for an immediate start . About the Role As an Art ECT , you will teach Art across KS3 and KS4 , delivering high-quality lessons that support creativity, personal expression, and technical skill development. You will work closely with an established team who share resources, plan collaboratively, and regularly reflect on curriculum sequencing to ensure Art remains engaging and meaningful for all learners. Your responsibilities will include: Teaching Art theory and practical skills across a range of media Supporting sketchbook development and GCSE portfolio preparation Creating a stimulating studio environment that celebrates student work Contributing to extra-curricular art clubs, exhibitions, and school events Working with your mentor weekly to reflect on practice and plan progress Following a structured ECT induction programme aligned with national expectations The department is known for its strength in mixed media , printmaking , painting , and digital illustration , giving you a broad platform to build your teaching repertoire.
