SEN Teacher – Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) – Secondary School – Waltham Forest Role: SEN Teacher Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: ASAP Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance A well-regarded secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) . This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher who is passionate about supporting students with additional learning needs . You will be teaching KS3 students who are following a KS1/KS2 curriculum to ensure they receive the tailored education they need to progress and thrive. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position in a specialist resource provision (SRP) Teach KS3 students using a KS1/KS2 curriculum , adapting lessons to meet individual needs Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to support students with SEN , including communication, social, emotional, and academic needs Work closely with SEN support staff , ensuring that students receive the right interventions and support Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their potential Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to support each student's learning journey Collaborate with parents, external agencies, and colleagues to provide a holistic approach to supporting students Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential Experience teaching students with special educational needs (SEN) , especially in a secondary school setting Experience teaching a KS1/KS2 curriculum to KS3 students (preferred) Strong understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
