Job description
An Outstanding Secondary School in Brent has a permanent, full-time ECT Teacher of Physics vacancy, starting January 2026. This role is ideal for a new teacher seeking excellent initial training and a long-term post. About the School The Science department here is a recognised regional powerhouse, characterized by a dedicated focus on practical, inquiry-based learning. Facilities are cutting-edge, enabling high-level experimental work even at Key Stage 3. The school culture is one of high expectations paired with fierce loyalty and support for new staff. Responsibilities The ECT Teacher of Physics will deliver high-quality instruction in Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (GCSE), with specialist delivery in Physics. The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment and promoting advanced theoretical understanding and investigative skills for GCSE. They must actively engage with the school's ECT support and mentoring programme. The ECT Teacher of Physics is expected to contribute to consistent high academic outcomes and participate proactively in departmental planning. Requirements Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Has the right to work in the UK. Holds a Degree or has experience teaching Science/Physics.
