Job description
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our friendly and supportive Primary School in Redbridge. This permanent role, starting January 2026, provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s first experiences of school life. Key Information Position: Reception Teacher Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time, Term Time Only Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) Suitable for: Experienced or Early Career Teachers (ECTs welcome) About the Role As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS curriculum. You will support pupils’ holistic development—socially, emotionally, and academically—ensuring every child thrives in a safe and stimulating environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, play-based learning opportunities Encourage independence and curiosity through creative teaching Foster strong relationships with pupils and parents Collaborate with colleagues across the EYFS team Contribute to the school’s inclusive and caring ethos What We’re Looking For QTS and experience teaching in EYFS Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum A nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment What the School Offers Supportive leadership and a welcoming team Enthusiastic pupils eager to learn Continuous professional development opportunities A school culture built on kindness, inclusion, and high expectations How to Apply If you are a compassionate and motivated Reception Teacher ready to join our Redbridge school from January 2026, we would love to hear from you.
