Job description
Exciting Fixed-Term Opportunity in a Fantastic SEN Setting! Are you a skilled and passionate SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding maternity cover position in a supportive and well-resourced school ? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN teacher to join our inclusive primary school in Ealing from March 2025 on a fixed-term contract . This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established SEND department , supporting children with autism (ASC), speech & language difficulties, and other learning needs . Our school is known for its commitment to inclusion, specialist interventions, and outstanding pastoral support . Your Responsibilities as an SEN Teacher: Plan and deliver individualised lessons , tailored to the needs of students with SEND. Work closely with SEN Teaching Assistants and external specialists to implement EHCP targets. Create structured, engaging, and sensory-friendly lessons that accommodate different learning styles. Use a range of assistive communication tools (such as PECS, AAC devices, and visual timetables) to support learners. Monitor student progress, well-being, and engagement , making adjustments as needed. Foster a safe, calm, and structured learning environment that promotes emotional well-being. Support transitions for students, whether moving between key stages or preparing for specialist settings. What We’re Looking For: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience teaching in an SEN or inclusion setting. A strong understanding of autism-friendly and differentiated teaching approaches . Patience, creativity, and adaptability in delivering effective SEN provision. Excellent teamwork and communication skills , working collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and families.
