Job description
A successful secondary school in Cambridge is seeking a committed and ambitious Science Teacher to join their dedicated department from January 2026. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to teach across KS3–KS5 and contribute to the strong academic outcomes of a thriving Science faculty. The successful candidate will be instrumental in raising attainment and inspiring students to pursue their passion for Science. Key Details • Full-time, permanent Science Teacher role starting January 2026 • High-achieving secondary school in Cambridge with strong exam results • Opportunity to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics at KS3–KS5 • Supportive and collaborative faculty with excellent resources Experience and Qualifications • Qualified Science Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent) • Strong subject knowledge in one or more specialisms • Proven ability to raise attainment and inspire student engagement • Effective classroom management with high expectations of achievement • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities such as science clubs • Collaborative and committed to ongoing professional development • Legal right to work in the UK School Information • Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ with outstanding results in Science and STEM subjects • Modern laboratories and access to excellent teaching resources • A culture of high standards, inclusivity, and innovation in teaching • Strong CPD programme offering clear progression routes • Engaged and motivated student body eager to achieve Salary • Paid to scale on MPS/UPS Application • To be considered for this Science Teacher role, please forward an updated CV as soon as possible.
