Are you a reliable and organised Science Technician seeking a permanent role within a well-resourced independent school in Doncaster? This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Science Technician to join a welcoming independent school in Doncaster, supporting the delivery of high-quality practical science across the school from April 2026 . About the Role Role: Science Technician Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: Doncaster Working Pattern: Full-time, term-time plus inset days Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly, safely, and effectively. Working closely with teaching staff, the Science Technician will prepare resources, maintain equipment, and support health and safety across laboratories. The Science Department is well-resourced and collaborative, placing high importance on safe, engaging, and well-organised practical learning. Key Responsibilities Prepare equipment, materials, and resources for practical science lessons. Support teaching staff during experiments and demonstrations when required. Ensure laboratories are kept clean, organised, and safely maintained. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering equipment and chemicals. Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance. Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including COSHH. Safely store and dispose of chemicals and hazardous materials.
