Job description
English Teacher required January 2026 Independent co-educational day school based in Cambridge English Teacher to join a high-achieving, literature-rich and academically ambitious English faculty Our Client is seeking an English Teacher to deliver KS3–KS5 English within a well-established and academically successful independent school in Cambridge. The successful candidate will contribute to a broad and intellectually stimulating curriculum, taking part in enrichment such as literature societies, creative writing clubs, debating workshops and theatre visits. The role offers excellent scope for teachers who enjoy fostering a deep appreciation of literature and language. School Information The school educates approximately 820 pupils and is known for exceptional academic results, a strong pastoral ethos and a vibrant co-curricular programme. The English department is housed in a well-equipped building featuring specialist classrooms, extensive book collections, digital annotation tools and modern teaching technology. Students demonstrate high levels of motivation and engagement, regularly achieving strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes. Teachers describe the environment as warm, intellectually engaging and supportive.
