Subject Leader of Geography – Full time, Permanent – East London • Excellent leadership opportunity from January 2026 • Join a progressive, structured, and well-resourced secondary school in East London • Lead the Geography department in a high-performing and community-oriented setting Are you an ambitious Geography specialist ready to step into leadership? This inclusive, forward-thinking East London secondary school is seeking a subject leader to shape an innovative and challenging Geography curriculum. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the planning and delivery of Geography across all key stages • Line manage and support a growing team of Geography teachers • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and outcomes • Develop fieldwork opportunities and interdisciplinary projects • Use assessment data to drive progress and intervention • Contribute to wider curriculum leadership and school strategy Candidate Profile: • Experienced Geography teacher with QTS and proven results • Confident in leading curriculum innovation and raising standards • Strong understanding of pedagogy and geography education policy • Ability to inspire both staff and students in a diverse community • Organised, reflective, and strategic in approach to leadership • Experience with KS4 and KS5 desirable (A-Level or equivalent) Geography results at this school have consistently been in the top 10% of the nation’s results over the last 15 years!
