Job description
Admissions Officer – Secondary School in Hammersmith – ASAP Start! A thriving and oversubscribed secondary school in Hammersmith is seeking an organised and proactive Admissions Officer to join its administrative team as soon as possible. This is a key role within the school, responsible for managing the admissions process and ensuring smooth transitions for new pupils and families. The school prides itself on strong communication with parents, structured systems, and a welcoming ethos for all new admissions. The Role Managing the full admissions process from enquiry through to enrolment Liaising with parents, carers, and local authorities Coordinating open evenings, transition days, and induction events Maintaining accurate admissions records using the school MIS system Producing data reports for senior leadership Ensuring compliance with local authority and statutory admissions regulations Supporting appeals processes and mid-year admissions Working closely with safeguarding and pastoral teams during transition The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience in a school admissions or administrative role Strong knowledge of admissions procedures and compliance requirements Experience using MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom Excellent organisational and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information A professional, approachable, and proactive manner This secondary school in Hammersmith is known for its strong academic standards, positive pupil behaviour, and supportive leadership.
