Full-time, Permanent (April 2025 Start) Are you a passionate and knowledgeable Economics Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of economists in a thriving and forward-thinking learning environment? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our dynamic team at a large and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow, starting in April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our students and contribute to their understanding of the global economy. Our Economics department is a dynamic hub of learning, where students are encouraged to engage with current economic issues and develop their understanding of the world around them. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, economic data, and real-world examples, to bring Economics to life. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and resources. Foster a love of Economics in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to economics and current affairs. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Economics. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. A passion for economics and a commitment to fostering critical thinking. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of current economic trends and issues.
