Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a Good mixed secondary school located near Cheltenham from January 2026 . The successful candidate will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop a lifelong passion for fitness, teamwork, and healthy living. School Information This 11–18 secondary school has earned a strong reputation for academic success and holistic student development. With excellent facilities including a modern sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, and extensive playing fields, the school is well-equipped to deliver an outstanding PE curriculum. The PE department is dynamic and collaborative, offering a diverse programme that encourages both participation and excellence. Students regularly compete in county and regional competitions across a variety of sports, achieving success at all levels. The school also promotes inclusivity and wellbeing through a range of enrichment opportunities and leadership roles such as Sports Ambassadors. The Role Teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable). Lead extra-curricular sports clubs and school teams. Foster confidence, teamwork, and personal achievement through sport. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student engagement. Experience and Qualifications Degree in a sports-related subject. QTS or equivalent teaching qualification. Ability to teach a wide range of activities across key stages. Passion for inspiring young people through sport and fitness. Salary Paid to scale (MPS/UPS).
