Job description
A well-established Good primary in Leicester is seeking a creative and reflective KS1 Teacher to join its Key Stage 1 phase on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful KS1 Teacher will be involved in collaborative planning before the January 2026 start, will attend induction sessions in January 2026, and will be teaching from January 2026 as the KS1 Teacher. This is an excellent Full-Time opportunity for a KS1 Teacher who wishes to develop their practice within a supportive, improvement-focused school. The KS1 Teacher role in practice As the KS1 Teacher you will lead daily phonics, guided reading and creative writing sequences, using careful formative assessment to inform targeted small-group interventions. The KS1 Teacher will plan well-structured mathematics sequences that develop conceptual understanding and fluency. The KS1 Teacher will liaise with families, lead transition activities and be an active member of the phase team, participating in moderation and curriculum development work before January 2026 and after January 2026. Professional development & culture for the KS1 Teacher This school’s CPD offer ensures the KS1 Teacher has access to coaching, peer observation and subject-specific training. From the induction in January 2026, the KS1 Teacher will have clear mentoring and a professional development pathway that supports progression into middle leadership. The Full-Time KS1 Teacher will be encouraged to trial evidence-informed approaches and to share effective practice across year groups. Person specification — KS1 Teacher We are looking for a KS1 Teacher with QTS, proven KS1 impact and strong behaviour strategies. The KS1 Teacher must be ready to engage with pre-term planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time KS1 Teacher.
