Job description
Spanish ECT required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Ely Spanish ECT to join a vibrant and internationally focused MFL department Our Client is seeking a Spanish ECT to teach KS3 and KS4 within a forward-thinking secondary school in Ely. The successful candidate will be supported through structured induction while delivering a curriculum focused on speaking confidence, grammar development and cultural awareness across multiple year groups. School Information This 11–18 school serves approximately 1,350 pupils and is recognised for strong academic progress, effective behaviour systems and consistent pastoral support. The MFL department benefits from immersive language software, structured schemes of work and opportunities for cultural enrichment that promote confident language use across the school. ECTs follow a clear induction model including reduced timetable, weekly mentoring, team planning and regular classroom observation. Staff describe the environment as welcoming, collaborative and professionally encouraging. Leadership supports innovation in language teaching while ensuring clear systems for behaviour and safeguarding.
