Job description
ECT: Computer Science Teacher – Launch Your Career with Specialist Mentoring and a Focus on Advanced Programming and Computational Thinking – Redbridge A forward-thinking academy in Redbridge requires a passionate and driven ECT of Computer Science (Year 1 or 2) to help drive their digital curriculum from January 2026. ECT: Computer Science Teacher required from January 2026 Redbridge-based school with outstanding IT facilities and a commitment to digital innovation. Perfect for a graduate specializing in programming (Python/Java) and digital systems. You will teach Computer Science and IT across KS3 and GCSE. Your reduced ECT timetable will allow you time to receive specialist support from the Head of Department on curriculum mapping and integrating computational thinking into your classroom practice. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing final training in Computer Science or a closely related field. Strong programming skills ( Python essential ). Enthusiasm for running extra-curricular coding or robotics clubs . A clear commitment to the school's structured induction and training. School Information The school boasts state-of-the-art computer labs and a fully resourced department. The ECT induction includes dedicated non-contact time for lesson observation and preparation. Specialist, structured induction with a focus on classroom management in a practical environment . Access to external professional development training (e.g., CAS). Outer London pay scale.
