A small, high-quality Independent School in Manchester is seeking a reflective and creative Reception Teacher to join the Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026 . The Reception Teacher will embrace play, curiosity and early pedagogy while benefiting from the Independent School’s strong pastoral culture. The successful Reception Teacher will start handover and planning before January 2026 , attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 on a Part-Time timetable agreed at interview. Role summary — Reception Teacher (Part-Time) The Reception Teacher will design rich indoor and outdoor provision, deliver daily phonics and focused group work, and record observational assessment against the Early Learning Goals. Although a Part-Time Reception Teacher , you will be fully involved in planning meetings, moderation and parent communication. The Part-Time Reception Teacher will receive the same mentoring and CPD as Full-Time colleagues and will be encouraged to lead a curriculum strand or family learning workshop. Contract & practicalities This Part-Time Reception Teacher post begins January 2026 . The Part-Time Reception Teacher will take part in induction in January 2026 and receive ongoing coaching. The Independent School will allocate protected planning time and ensure the Reception Teacher is integrated into whole-school life despite the Part-Time timetable.
