Are you an inspiring and visionary Head of Maths seeking a leadership role within an outstanding independent school in Gloucester? This is a superb opportunity for an experienced and passionate Head of Maths to lead and further develop a successful Mathematics department within a respected independent school in Gloucester, commencing in April 2026 . About the Role Role: Head of Maths Start Date: April 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Location: Gloucester Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience The successful candidate will provide strategic and academic leadership for Mathematics, delivering a challenging and engaging curriculum that enables students to develop fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. They will inspire excellence across the department and play a key role in maintaining strong academic outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead the strategic development of the Maths department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning. Deliver exceptional Maths lessons across KS3–KS5, including GCSE and A-Level. Line manage and support departmental staff, promoting continuous professional development. Track and analyse student performance data to inform planning and intervention. Champion mathematical enrichment through competitions, clubs, and wider school initiatives. Contribute positively to the wider academic and pastoral life of the school.
