Job description
ECT: Maths Teacher – Start Your Career with Structured Mastery Teaching and Intensive Support – Newham An ambitious and structured secondary school in Newham requires an enthusiastic ECT of Mathematics (Year 1 or 2) committed to delivering a mastery-based curriculum from January 2026. ECT: Mathematics Teacher required from January 2026 Newham-based school with an emphasis on structured mastery teaching. Ideal for a graduate seeking intensive mentoring and a focus on deep conceptual understanding. You will teach KS3 and KS4 Mathematics with a reduced timetable and a dedicated mentor. The induction is highly structured , focusing on mastering the delivery of the shared, mastery-based curriculum to ensure all students achieve core conceptual understanding. Experience and Qualifications QTS or completing final training in Mathematics or a related numerical field. Strong theoretical understanding of Mastery Maths principles. Willingness to fully engage with the school's structured weekly coaching cycle. Excellent potential for engaging and consistent instruction. School Information The Maths department is extremely collaborative , with planning and assessment materials created centrally, significantly reducing individual workload. The ECT programme is structured to ensure rapid professional development within a safe and supportive environment. Dedicated mentor and protected time for nurturing professional development. Centralised, structured planning ensures a manageable workload. Highly accessible location via Tube/DLR.
