Job description
An Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ 11–18 school in Salisbury is seeking an innovative and dedicated Design & Technology ECT to join their successful Technology Department on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2026 . About the Role The successful ECT will teach DT across KS3–KS5 , specialising in Product Design, Engineering, or Resistant Materials. They will plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and technical precision. Mentored by experienced subject specialists, the ECT will gain confidence in developing classroom practice, managing workshop environments, and supporting students through GCSE and A-Level coursework. They will also have opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities such as design competitions, robotics clubs, and exhibitions. About the School The school is recognised for its excellence in teaching and learning, modern facilities, and inclusive ethos . The DT Department is equipped with cutting-edge tools, CAD/CAM suites, 3D printers, and laser cutters , enabling students to explore innovative design solutions. Staff benefit from an extensive ECT induction programme, CPD workshops, and leadership mentoring opportunities.
