Job description
A highly successful and well-established co-educational independent school in the picturesque Richmond area seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages Teacher specializing in Spanish for a full-time, permanent position commencing in September. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving MFL department within a school committed to the academic and cultural development of young people. About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a stimulating and nurturing learning environment with a strong emphasis on academic excellence and the holistic education of students, valuing the importance of language learning for global citizenship. The MFL department is well-resourced and fosters a love of languages and cultures across all year groups. About the Role: Deliver engaging and communicative Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Develop and implement effective lesson plans that incorporate cultural elements, authentic resources, and cater to a range of learning styles. Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development of the Spanish curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish). Native or near-native fluency in Spanish. A good understanding of the secondary MFL curriculum and effective language teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire students' interest in Spanish.
