Job description
We are working with a high-achieving secondary school in Newham to appoint a Full-Time Receptionist for a permanent position. Starting this March, the school is looking for a professional and welcoming individual to act as the first point of contact for the school community. About the School This is a large, vibrant secondary school known for its diverse community and "no-excuses" approach to student success. The front office is a fast-paced environment that requires a resilient and calm individual. The school prides itself on its professional administrative team, which is central to the smooth running of the daily timetable and the safety of the site. It is a modern campus with excellent facilities and a supportive, busy atmosphere. The Role Manage the busy front-of-house reception desk, greeting visitors and parents. Operate the school's switchboard, directing calls and taking accurate messages. Assist with student attendance administration using school management systems (SIMS). Coordinate incoming and outgoing post and deliveries. Requirements Previous experience in a school or high-volume customer service environment. Proficiency in MS Office and ideally a school-specific system (SIMS/Bromcom). Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Salary £29,808 – £33,384 per annum (Scale 2–4, Inner London).
