Job description
A specialist SEN school in West London is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis . This is an incredible opportunity to work in a specialized setting , supporting students with a range of special educational needs and delivering tailored, high-quality teaching to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment. The Role: Delivering specialized teaching to students with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism , learning difficulties , and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges . Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to support each student’s specific learning and developmental needs. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment , promoting independence and confidence in students. Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists , and other staff to develop effective interventions and strategies to meet students’ needs. Monitoring and tracking student progress , providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure students’ success. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and external agencies to support students' holistic development. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with special educational needs . Experience in a specialist SEN setting or working with students with complex needs is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of SEN strategies , teaching methods, and behaviour management techniques. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of SENCOs, teaching assistants , and external professionals. Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
