Job description
Job Title: Reception Teacher Location: Harrow, Greater London Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time Start Date: September 2025 About Us: We are a dynamic and inclusive three-form entry primary school in Harrow, dedicated to providing a high-quality education that empowers every child to achieve their full potential. Our school is committed to fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in our students from their very first steps in education. We are now looking for an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our dedicated team in September 2025 and make a positive impact on our youngest learners. Role Overview: As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our Reception children. You will plan, deliver, and assess lessons that support the development of key skills and promote early learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This role offers the chance to inspire and shape the educational journey of young children, creating a strong foundation for their academic and personal growth. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and creative EYFS lessons and activities that meet the developmental needs of Reception children Monitor, assess, and track children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and exploration Work closely with colleagues, including teaching assistants, to support children’s learning and well-being Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, maintaining strong home-school links Support children’s social and emotional development, ensuring their happiness and well-being at school Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school events We are looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (EYTS will be considered) A passion for early years education and a strong understanding of the EYFS framework Experience teaching in Reception (desirable, but not essential) Creativity, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach to teaching Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment What We Offer: A welcoming and collaborative school environment A strong commitment to professional development and career progression A competitive salary and benefits package A well-resourced and inspiring early years setting A chance to make a lasting impact on the educational journeys of young children How to Apply: If you are an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Teacher with a passion for working with young children, we would love to hear from you.
