Job description
A forward-thinking and supportive Good-rated secondary school in Harlow is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their thriving Science department for an immediate start . This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for an experienced practitioner or a well-supported ECT who is ready to contribute meaningfully to a department that values curiosity, strong pedagogy, and a collaborative work ethic. About the Role You will teach Science across KS3 and KS4 , following a well-developed curriculum that balances practical investigation with secure conceptual understanding. The Science team works cohesively, sharing resources, discussing teaching strategies, and reviewing assessment data together. Lessons are planned with clarity and structure, giving teachers confidence in delivery while still allowing flexibility to adapt content to students' needs. You will benefit from well-equipped laboratories, consistent technician support, access to digital learning platforms, and a department culture that encourages professional reflection. There is also room for involvement in STEM enrichment activities, science clubs, intervention workshops, and whole-school initiatives.
