Job description
A high-achieving secondary school in Swindon is seeking a committed and creative Art Teacher to join their faculty from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality teaching within a thriving Arts faculty and to play an active role in shaping the creative culture of the school. Key Details • Full-time, permanent Art Teacher position starting January 2026 • Ambitious secondary school in Swindon with strong academic and creative outcomes • Join a dynamic Art department with excellent resources and collaborative colleagues • Opportunity to contribute to exhibitions, cultural trips, and enrichment activities Experience and Qualifications • Qualified Art Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent) • Ability to teach Art across KS3–KS5 desirable • Strong knowledge of traditional, contemporary, and digital artistic practices • Proven experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level exams • Enthusiasm for supporting extracurricular enrichment such as art clubs, showcases, and trips • Excellent classroom practitioner who inspires creativity and confidence in students • Legal right to work in the UK School Information • Ofsted Outstanding school with excellent academic and creative outcomes • Modern studios, photography suites, and digital media facilities • A school-wide ethos that values creativity as much as academic achievement • Students regularly participate in exhibitions, competitions, and local art initiatives • Supportive leadership team committed to staff development, wellbeing, and progression • A collaborative Arts faculty with a culture of innovation, encouragement, and high expectations Salary • Paid to scale on MPS / UPS Application • To be considered for this Art Teacher role, please forward an updated CV as soon as possible.
