Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and aspirational Biology ECT to join a well-regarded and academically ambitious secondary school in Slough. This is a full-time, permanent role beginning January 2026, offering excellent induction and training for early career teachers. About the School This Slough school is known for its commitment to high academic standards, excellent behaviour and strong pastoral care. Leadership places great emphasis on supporting new staff and providing structured development opportunities. About the Science Department The department is collaborative, well-resourced and benefits from: • Purpose-built laboratories • Experienced technicians • Strong uptake at GCSE and A-Level Biology • Access to digital learning tools and practical equipment About the Role • Teaching Biology and general Science at KS3–KS4 • Delivering engaging and practical lessons • Contributing to STEM clubs, trips or enrichment activities • Participating fully in the ECT programme Experience and Qualifications • Degree in Biology or a related Life Science discipline • PGCE with QTS • Strong communication and subject knowledge Salary Paid to scale – MPS.
