Maths Teacher – Alternative Provision – Tower Hamlets – April Start Position: Maths Teacher Location: Tower Hamlets Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) Are you a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative and engaging Maths lessons tailored to students with varied learning needs. Differentiate teaching strategies to ensure all students can access the curriculum and make progress. Create a positive, structured learning environment that supports students’ academic and personal growth. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and wider team. Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, using strategies to promote confidence and motivation. Monitor student progress, providing targeted interventions where necessary. Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure students receive the holistic support they need. Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Maths, ideally in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or SEN setting. A strong understanding of SEMH and behavioural strategies to support student engagement. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to inspire and motivate students. A resilient, flexible, and compassionate approach to teaching.
