Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant and welcoming Primary School in Newham. This is a permanent role starting January 2026, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ progress as they complete Key Stage 1. Key Information Position: Year 2 Teacher Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time, Term Time Only Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) Suitable for: Experienced or Early Career Teachers (ECTs welcome) About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Year 2 Teacher to inspire pupils as they build confidence and prepare for the transition to KS2. You will deliver creative and high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum, supporting children to achieve their full potential academically and personally. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 2 pupils Support and challenge all learners to achieve their best Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents Contribute to the school’s ethos of high standards and achievement What We’re Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks A nurturing, creative, and reflective practitioner Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to develop a love of learning What the School Offers A welcoming and supportive school community Enthusiastic and well-behaved pupils who enjoy learning Excellent opportunities for professional growth and development A culture of collaboration, inclusion, and success How to Apply If you are an inspiring Year 2 Teacher ready to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Newham from January 2026, we would love to hear from you.
