Job description
History Teacher – Drive Rigorous Scholarship in a Prestigious School – Manchester A prestigious, academic secondary school in Manchester is seeking an exceptional History Teacher from January 2026. History specialist required from January 2026 Manchester-based school with a highly motivated and ambitious student body. Ideal for a classicist passionate about linguistic rigour and competitive university (Oxbridge) entry. The role involves teaching History across all key stages, with a significant focus on A-Level and Oxbridge preparation . You will be expected to design and lead academic extension sessions, focusing on translation, scansion, and rigorous textual analysis. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in History (Master's highly desirable). Proven ability to teach History to a high level, securing top grades. Experience or capacity to mentor students for competitive university entrance. Commitment to maintaining a stimulating and rigorous learning environment.
