Art Teacher – Vibrant Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) – Lambeth – April Start Position: Art Teacher Location: Lambeth Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) Are you a passionate and creative Art Teacher looking to make a real difference? A vibrant Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Lambeth is seeking an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students through the power of art. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young people who need a fresh and creative approach to learning, helping them build confidence and express themselves in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and inclusive Art lessons tailored to students with diverse learning needs. Foster a positive and creative classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore and develop their artistic skills. Use a range of materials, techniques, and projects to inspire students and promote self-expression. Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring accessibility and engagement. Support students’ emotional and social development through creative learning opportunities. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students. Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Who We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Art, preferably in an alternative provision or with students who have faced barriers to education. A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to engage and inspire students. A strong understanding of SEN and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and compassionate approach. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Why Join Us?
