🎨 Art Teacher – Join a Dynamic Team at a State School in Peterborough 📍 Location : Peterborough 📅 Start Date : September 2025 💼 Contract : Full-time, Permanent 💷 Salary : MPS (Main Pay Scale) About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join our team at a thriving state school in Peterborough . This is an exciting opportunity for a regular teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with the possibility of Key Stage 5 for those with experience) in a school that values both academic excellence and creative expression. You will play a key role in developing students’ artistic abilities and helping them express their creativity through a range of media. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an Art Teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Art , Fine Art , or Art & Design . Has experience or enthusiasm for teaching Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 . Is passionate about nurturing students’ creativity and helping them develop their technical skills in various artistic media. Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a student-centred approach to teaching. Is committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students. Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and contributing to the wider school community. What You’ll Be Doing As an Art Teacher , your responsibilities will include: Teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 , with the potential for A-Level teaching depending on experience. Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons in a variety of artistic media, including drawing , painting , printmaking , and digital art . Encouraging students to develop their creative expression and critical thinking skills through art. Supporting students' progress through regular assessments, feedback, and tailored support. Participating in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities, such as art exhibitions , art clubs , and projects . Collaborating with colleagues to refine and develop the curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs and interests of all students.
