Job description
SENCO – Well-Renowned Secondary School – Westminster – April 2025 Start Role: SENCO Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: April 2025 Salary: Leadership Scale (dependent on experience) A well-renowned secondary school in Westminster is seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to lead their Special Educational Needs provision from April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-achieving school with a strong commitment to inclusion, ensuring that every student receives the support they need to thrive. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a prestigious secondary school in Westminster Lead and manage the SEN provision, ensuring high-quality support for students with diverse needs Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive teaching and learning across the school Oversee the assessment, tracking, and progress monitoring of students with SEN Provide professional development and training for staff to enhance their understanding of SEN best practices Work closely with senior leadership, teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to student support Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and maintain a focus on continuous improvement in SEN provision Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience as a SENCO, ideally in a secondary school setting National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education strategies Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide staff in delivering exceptional SEN support Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and external stakeholders A proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
