Job description
Job Title: Year 4 Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: Hounslow, Greater London Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover Start Date: June 2025 About Us: We are a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hounslow, dedicated to providing an excellent education and fostering a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join our team on a full-time, maternity cover contract starting in June 2025. Role Overview: As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting the academic and personal development of our students, and ensuring the classroom remains a positive and motivating space for learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is ready to step in and make a real impact for a fixed term, with potential opportunities for future roles. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that engage and challenge Year 4 students Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each child Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless approach to curriculum delivery Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities and wider community We are looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent A passion for working with children and supporting their development Strong classroom management skills and a creative approach to teaching Experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience is desirable, but not essential) A good understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment practices Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment What We Offer: A supportive, welcoming school environment A strong commitment to professional development and training A competitive salary and benefits package A chance to make a difference in the lives of our pupils Opportunities to be involved in the wider life of the school How to Apply: If you are an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is passionate about supporting the learning and development of children, we would love to hear from you.
