Full-time, Permanent - April 2025 Start Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics eager to inspire young minds and foster a love of learning in a faith-based setting? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our successful Maths department in a Church of England secondary school in Hammersmith. About the School: Our school is a welcoming and inclusive learning community where students are encouraged to develop their mathematical abilities, problem-solving skills, and spiritual awareness. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment where students can explore the beauty and wonder of mathematics, while also developing their faith and values. About the Maths Department: The Maths department is a collaborative and supportive team with a shared passion for fostering a love of mathematics in our students. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of mathematical topics, from algebra and geometry to calculus and statistics. We encourage students to develop their critical thinking abilities, logical reasoning, and mathematical fluency through a variety of teaching methods and resources. About the Role: Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive whiteboards, technology, and manipulatives, to bring Mathematics to life for students. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Mathematics curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Foster a love of Mathematics in students, encouraging them to explore the applications of mathematics in the world around them. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Mathematics education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics. Demonstrates a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Mathematics and relevant examination specifications. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice. Is supportive of the school's Christian ethos and values.
