About the Role A well-established and high-achieving secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join its thriving faculty from September 2026. This role offers an ideal opportunity for an Early Career Teacher ready to begin their teaching journey in a welcoming, well-supported environment where professional growth and creativity are valued. You’ll teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to develop experience at Key Stage 5 as you progress. The department has a strong track record of success, with students who enjoy reading, discussion and the challenge of exploring language and literature. The Department & Support The English department is collaborative and forward-looking, with a curriculum that celebrates diverse voices and encourages analytical thinking and creative expression. You’ll be part of a team that supports each other through shared planning, observation and reflection. The school’s ECT programme is excellent, offering structured mentoring, reduced teaching commitments and regular professional development. You’ll have access to a dedicated mentor, subject-specific training, and opportunities to develop your classroom practice through peer observation and coaching.
