Job description
Economics Teacher – Surrey Secondary School An Outstanding secondary school in Surrey requires a knowledgeable and dedicated Economics Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a full-time, permanent position, primarily teaching Key Stages 4 and 5. The school fosters critical thinking and encourages students to engage with contemporary economic issues. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons that connect theory to real-world applications. Develop students' understanding of core economic principles, models, and theories. Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate economic arguments. Prepare students for success in Economics examinations (e.g., GCSE, A-Level). Assess student progress rigorously and provide insightful feedback. Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum, incorporating current events and relevant case studies. Teach at a Outstanding rated school Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in Economics or a closely related field. Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary level (Key Stages 4 and 5). Strong subject knowledge and a passion for economics.
