Job description
Business Studies ECT required January 2026 Mixed secondary school based in Chelmsford Business Studies ECT to join a reflective and collaborative Humanities department Our Client is seeking a Business Studies ECT to begin their teaching career within a supportive secondary school in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 Business Studies, delivering a well-sequenced curriculum focused on historical enquiry, analytical writing and critical thinking. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT seeking strong guidance and a stable teaching environment. School Information This 11–18 school educates approximately 1,250 pupils and has a strong reputation for its teaching culture, consistent behaviour standards and clear routines. The Business Studies department works closely as a team, sharing resources, assessments and best practice to ensure consistency and high standards across year groups. ECTs receive weekly mentoring, reduced teaching load, structured observation cycles and tailored CPD targets. Teachers describe the school as calm, respectful and highly collegial. Senior leaders are supportive and committed to developing confident, skilled classroom practitioners from the outset of their careers.
