The Role The school is looking for a qualified Music Teacher with proven experience teaching across all key stages, up to GCSE and A-Level . The ideal candidate will possess both high practical ability and a deep understanding of musical theory, history, and technology. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional, engaging lessons in Music to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level , covering diverse musical styles and historical periods. Developing and implementing an ambitious curriculum that incorporates advanced composition, performance, and music technology skills. Directing and coordinating a range of extracurricular musical ensembles, orchestras, choirs, and bands, and organizing prestigious public and school performances. Guiding students through examination preparation and supporting those aiming for highly competitive university and conservatoire placements. Collaborating with the Arts faculty to maintain and enhance the school's outstanding reputation for creativity and performance. Candidate Requirements To be considered for this elite position, you should have: A degree in Music or a related performing arts discipline from a strong university. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualifications). Extensive proven experience teaching Music at the secondary school level, with expertise at A-Level .
